.] When making a sig for the first time, explore all the filter and add a much crap as possible.

.] Also try not to use too many brushes.. The default Brushes are bullshit..

.] If you are tired, and don’t feel like making graphics, don’t. If you do, they will turn out bad. Try again when you are refreshed and not tired.

.) Try to maintain your photoshopping skills. If you stop for a week or so it will be tough to get back your touch. I’m speaking from Experience.

.) Try different things. Don’t just use the same technique over and over again.

Re-colorizing effects
.) Apply image on a new layer by Creating a new layer and clicking IMAGE->Apply Image. It will copy your entire view of the image and paste it in one layer.

.) Experiement with Color Balance [CTRL+B] It can change the complete look of an image.

.) Experiement with Gradient Mapping. [Image->Adjustments->Gradient Map] Remember to Apply image on a new layer first so you can adjust the blending and Opacity.

.)Hue/Saturation [CTRL+U] Can also change the look of an image. Remember to Apply image first so you can adjust Blending and opacity.

Enhance a light

.) The best way I know to enhance a light is by creating a new layer and applying the image. Then select Filters->Render->Lens Flare->A white light on where you want to enhance

.) Another way to enhance a light is by using a soft brush tool [Default Brushset]. Create a new layer and click-brush where you want to enhance. The same can be done for making it darker. Then you can increase or decrease the opacity if it is too light or too dark.
